Spotlight: Unraced at two; showed plenty in her three qualifying runs (all 1m2f on good ground) and was off the mark in four-runner Pontefract maiden when looking better the further she went four weeks ago; pedigree also offers plenty of hope that this step up in trip will bring her on again and her opening mark looks fair; shortlisted.

Spotlight: Won Nottingham handicap (8.5f, good; first-time cheekpieces) for Darryll Holland last year; mostly very consistent for this yard and has placed in three of his four starts (9.5f to 1m6f) this term; handicapper appears to be in charge but maybe first-time blinkers and Billy Loughnane can eke out more.

Spotlight: Just one blip in an otherwise productive campaign since reappearing in handicaps this term, his three wins including head defeat of another improving 3yo at Doncaster (1m4f, good to firm) 11 days ago; that form looks all the better after the runner-up went in at York on Saturday so this 5lb rise might not stop him; big player.

Spotlight: Yet to win but she's got ability and it wasn't a bad effort when fifth of 12 at Salisbury (1m2f, good) on her return in May; dam is related to St Leger winner Hurricane Lane and Group-class stayer Sweet William so there's plenty of hope this new trip will suit; not discounted on that score.

Spotlight: Four-time winner (all 1m4f on a sound surface) with three of those in blinkers, latterly at Catterick (good; made all) on his penultimate start; overdid it in the lead before beating one home at Goodwood 12 days ago but could bounce back; cheekpieces (second on all three attempts) are reapplied.

Spotlight: Secured a fourth win (three on turf) when taking Lingfield handicap (1m2f, AW) on his April reappearance but that hasn't been backed up in two subsequent starts; latest fourth was a step back in the right direction, however, when shaping like this first attempt at 1m4f is worth a go; 1-1 here and he holds each-way prospects.

Spotlight: Multiple Flat/hurdles winner who came back from an absence (after a nasty spill at Plumpton) with encouraging third at Salisbury (good; not clear run) in May; didn't build on that at Goodwood (also 1m6f) this month but he travelled well until soft ground likely got the better of him; drops in trip and he's not ruled out.

Spotlight: Very inconsistent in four starts for this yard this term and his good second at Windsor (11.5f, good) in May was flanked by a pair of 1m2f howlers; mark fine if he's on a going day but sole appearance here (well beaten when favourite last April) raises a further doubt.

Spotlight: Caused a 25-1 upset on his debut at Newbury (6f) around a year ago but that remains the highlight and he could only beat one home in both handicaps this term; unraced beyond 1m but does have stayers in the family and his sister won at up to 1m6f.

Spotlight: Won his first two starts (1m novices on AW) but he's yet to kick on in turf handicaps, initially when fourth of six here (8.5f) in April then fifth of ten at Chester (10.5f) the following month; one of his siblings was a dual 1m4f winner for this yard so maybe the new trip will help.
