Spotlight: Winless since 7f success here in May 2024 and has yet to find his true form this year (beaten favourite three times; behind Mr Cool here last time) but he ran well on occasions in better 6f races than this in 2025 and won't mind what the weather does; quite well treated now and a revival could be imminent.

Spotlight: All turf runs on good or quicker ground; has had a busy year with some mixed results but he's taken a healthy drop in the weights and nearly nicked a Carlisle race in July; returned to that level when imposing himself on a C&D race 12 days ago and, back up 4lb, should have a big say.

Spotlight: Off the mark in 6f handicap at Cork (yielding) last September; has been placed in big-field handicaps at 6f and 7f for this yard in 2026 and although below best when last seen in June she shouldn't be out of this, especially if the ground deteriorates.

Spotlight: Signed off 2yo season with 6f win on Newcastle AW; thereabouts in all three 6f races this year and there's little between her and Mr Cool on recent C&D form; however, she was struggling to keep up from some way out before coming home strongly and this test may again be on the sharp side.

Spotlight: Best form of the year when persevering well to win at Thirsk (6f, good) in June but disappointingly failed to do herself justice at Hamilton next time, a track where she won and went close (in a higher grade than this) last autumn; has had a short break since and may well revive.

Spotlight: All five wins between July and October last year, at 6f and 5f, including this race (good); runner-up four times this year and her latest Hamilton run can be consigned to history as she'd run the day before; respected, although serious rain wouldn't be ideal.

Spotlight: 0-8; involved in some hard-fought finishes over 6f on AW but he probably needs a bit more than a close fifth of five in his first turf handicap, at Catterick in May; ran better than the bare result back on AW last week but still needs to show he's as effective on grass, especially with rain about.

Spotlight: Eight wins, all on good to soft or slower, include one over C&D; ran a cracker when fourth of 17 on Doncaster reappearance in March but he's kept his distance since, even when ground conditions looked suitable, but the more rain the better.

Spotlight: Not yet off the mark and was vulnerable in her early handicaps but she made a good fist of it when third on the wing over C&D (good to firm) in July; not so good here since but that was her third run in two weeks and will perhaps be all the better for more of a break this time.

Spotlight: Close up in 7f events as a 3yo but she hasn't been her old self at 7f and 6f this year, in different headgear in two of her last three starts (none today); looks unlikely for now.

Spotlight: Ought to be open to some improvement at this level but he again failed to conserve his energy on handicap debut at Thirsk (6f, good to firm) in July and his challenge was very short-lived; reservations.

Spotlight: Suited by Hamilton and was winning for the second time there two starts ago (both 6f; good to soft and good to firm); found little returned to 5f on this track since and the yard's other two runners look more likely.

Spotlight: Minor promise when qualifying but she was 22-1 when beaten a long way on her handicap/AW debut at Newcastle (7f) in June; too far behind there to consider seriously back on turf but at least the return to 6f should suit.
