Spotlight: Bought for £160,000 in May 2025 after going close in his only point; left last October's hurdle debut way behind to post an easy win in maiden at Doncaster (2m3f, soft) in February after wind surgery, so he's a promising and hugely unexposed handicap debutant, upped markedly in trip.

Spotlight: Irish point winner; initial Chepstow 2m form was left way behind when he won a maiden at Doncaster (2m5f, good to soft) last November and 15-runner handicap debut at Haydock (upped to 3m, good) in May; the latter was his second run after wind surgery; up 5lb but still brings plenty of promise.

Spotlight: Scored twice in the spring and, freshened up by her summer break, returned to winning ways at Newton Abbot last month; the extended 2m5f last time was the furthest she's been and she took that six-runner race in good style; up 6lb today and in trip but, having found so much improvement in those wins, she must be respected.

Spotlight: 4-14 over hurdles (no win since April 2024) and 0-5 over fences; while latest start (March) was his best chase result, he has better hurdles form and one of his peak efforts was over C&D; needs a second look on today's reappearance in this sphere.

Spotlight: Irish point winner who progressed in his first three starts over hurdles, culminating in his 20l win in a small field for novice at Fakenham (2m4f, soft) in February; he needs to resume that improvement, however, after a heavy defeat in the EBF Final at Sandown (2m4f, soft) in April on handicap debut; he was just 9-1 for that race after market support and these are early days.

Spotlight: Staying mare who was in career-best form last winter, including a C&D win under Sean Bowen, before her form dipped on last two outings; needs to resume improvement on first run since March but Bowen is back on board.

Spotlight: 11yo who is 1-17 over hurdles as opposed to 9-36 over fences; stays and has a markedly lower mark in this sphere, in which he was runner-up on his last two starts, but this race nevertheless looks too hot for him.

Spotlight: In career-best form this May-June on good ground, most notably when coming from the rear to get up in the final strides for Class 2 handicap at Uttoxeter (upped to 2m7f; 4lb higher today); shaped okay at Cartmel (2m6f) in July; needs to resume progress but the attraction is that he's still unexposed as a stayer; player if he's on song after the 12 weeks off.

Spotlight: 3m hat-trick in 2025 started with a hurdles win at Aintree in April before two chase wins late in the year; three marked backward steps over fences followed that, before a partial recovery back over hurdles in May; needs to build on that but is very well handicapped judged on peak chase form.

Spotlight: Swapped cheekpieces for blinkers when faring much better again in the spring on last three appearances, but now reverts to cheekpieces; has proven stamina but winning this warm race surely demands a career best on his 20th start over hurdles.

Spotlight: Successful five times at up to 2m4f, over fences on last four occasions, and he was a clear second when upped to 3m at Bangor in May; hampered and fell in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter when last seen, in the process of running a good race over 3m; back hurdling and his chase mark is 9lb higher.

Spotlight: Four wins in 2025, all under Chad Bament, and he's now on the same mark as when scoring over C&D (good to soft) in December; not disgraced in April when last seen but he's probably vulnerable to one of today's less exposed contenders.
