On her best form, Faiyum would probably have the measure of these rivals but her form profile is a little concerning. Slight preference is for PRINCESS CHILD, who looked on the verge of recapturing top form when second at the Curragh last Sunday. The relatively unexposed Glyfada is potentially interesting in her first race in pattern company. Queens Reign is a useful performer at this level. [Alan Sweetman] Show less
Spotlight: Made all on heavy ground when winning a Group 3 event by 7l at Gowran last autumn; disappointing favourite for the same race this season; has now been a beaten favourite in four consecutive races; however, she still makes plenty of appeal on this season's placed form in a pair of Group 3 races at the Curragh.
Spotlight: Her five wins include a Group 3 at Tipperary over 7.5f last year; good early-season form when second in Group 3 here on testing ground; form during the summer was well below her best; however, she produced a timely revival when running on strongly to take second in a 7f Group 3 race at the Curragh last Sunday; suited by soft ground.
Spotlight: Won a maiden at Naas (10.3f, good) in April on her second start and coped with the drop to 1m when following up at Killarney (good; won going away) at the expense of a subsequent winner; creditable fifth of 30 in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot; lightly raced, open to improvement.
Spotlight: Won a Naas maiden on debut over 1m and a slightly unlucky third in a Curragh Group 3 over the same trip next time; found wanting in Group/Listed races since then; down the field behind Rebel Wave in a Leopardstown handicap last month.
Spotlight: Wins in a Curragh maiden and a Gowran handicap came at 7f; stepped up to just beyond 1m to complete the hat-trick at Leopardstown; 88-rated filly needs to find plenty more to impose her presence here.
Spotlight: 96-rated mare; has been running well enough in Listed races on the continent to have place prospects; lesser display at Longchamp on seasonal debut sandwiched between solid placed efforts at around 7f at Deauville (AW) and Baden-Baden; placed over 1m on AW last season.
Spotlight: Won Gowran fillies' maiden (1m, good) in July, ran green but picking up well to win going away; finished last of eight on handicap debut at Leopardstown; left that form behind when scoring readily at Bellewstown; trainer has stronger candidates for this.
Spotlight: Thurles maiden winner last October after a fine effort in a 7f Listed race; made a bright start to the season when fourth behind True Love in a 7f Group 3 event at Leopardstown; has continued to keep good company; below best last time; will need to surpass her official rating of 91.
Spotlight: Stepped up on maiden form when winning over 1m at Galway in her first handicap; took a backward step at Leopardstown in a race won by Rebel Wave; exploited a drop in handicap grade at the Curragh last Sunday; this is much more demanding.
Spotlight: A four-time winner in Europe, from 7f to 1m2f; bought for E320,000 last December; all her best turf form is with plenty of give in the ground; had her first run after a long absence at Listowel; should be sharper now, but stablemate Princess Child is more appealing.
Spotlight: Sole win in ten starts came in a 1m4f maiden at Limerick last season (soft to heavy); exceeded market expectations when 33-1 in a Listed race over this trip at Listowel last month, finishing 3l fourth of 11 behind the smart Meriden; has been raised 6lb but needs to raise her game again.
Spotlight: Won testing-ground back-end Galway maiden on sole start at two; fair effort on belated comeback when third in a Listed race at Gowran; never a factor in a similar event over 1m4f at Galway; flattered by the detail of having finished in front of Faiyum at Gowran last time.
Spotlight: Has tended to show her best form at Gowran, below-par there on latest; hooded for the first time; faces a huge task in a race of this standard.
Spotlight: Won Cork maiden on testing ground in April when a 28-1 shot; well held a 1m Curragh Group 3 and a 1m Killarney Listed contest (when stumbled early on); struggled at Cork last time; tongue-tie on now, needs to show major improvement.
Spotlight: Appreciated 1m and an ease in the ground when landing handicaps at Naas and Navan in August last year; highly tried at times since then but to little avail; suited by an ease.
Spotlight: Progressive handicapper early in the summer, winning at Down Royal and Fairyhouse; has failed to make the grade in stakes company, though not disgraced in mid-division at 80-1 at the Curragh last Sunday
