Spotlight: C&D winner in May and also runner-up here in June/July (all good to firm; won on soft in Ireland earlier in career); has ended the summer in equally good form, including getting his head back in front at Newcastle (1m) 12 days ago but he's yet to win back to back in his 54-race career.

Spotlight: Got up late to land a 7f Carlisle handicap (soft) in May; back on that winning mark and returned to form when runner-up back at Carlisle (7f, good) last Wednesday, shaping as if worth another go over 1m; bit of a tricky customer but has to enter calculations.

Spotlight: Snapped a losing run dating back to June 2024 when holding on by a neck at Carlisle (1m, good) last week; generally consistent but hardly has the profile of one likely to follow up under a 4lb penalty.

Spotlight: She's not been at the top of her game on her last three starts but she's on a handy mark on this season's best efforts and finished a creditable third in a division of this race last year.

Spotlight: Only 1-17 but he hasn't been running badly, finishing best of the rest behind a thriving sort in a 15-runner race at Thirsk (1m, good) five weeks ago; likely to be on the premises from an unchanged mark.

Spotlight: Now 1lb below the mark he defied over 1m1f at Musselburgh (good) in June but recent efforts have been a little short of that level, including fourth back at Musselburgh on Saturday.
