Spotlight: Improving 5yo off the mark in 2m4f Clonmel handicap in May and reappeared with fine second over inadequate 2m at Listowel last month (third has won since); good chance he'll stay this longer trip and big player if doing so.

Spotlight: Point winner in 2023; 0-5 hurdling but took a big step forward early this month (only second start back after near three-year absence) in a first-time tongue-tie when chasing home a clear-cut winner in 2m7f Killarney handicap; just 1lb higher here so has to enter calculations.

Spotlight: Dual Sligo winner at this trip and third career win came at Listowel last month over same trip under a positive ride, drawing away from the last; 6lb rise okay, should be thereabouts.

Spotlight: Best effort yet on latest of two runs for current yard in this headgear combination, only conceding closing strides after being made plenty of use of in 2m4f Clonmel maiden early this month, not helped by shoddy jumps at the final two; up in trip here for handicap debut and will need to clean up his jumping.

Spotlight: Won 2m3f maiden here a year ago and mostly consistent in handicaps this year, notably over this trip at Ballinrobe; didn't get home as well at Listowel on latest so needs to bounce back.

Spotlight: Some maiden hurdle ability for Gavin Cromwell and stepped up markedly on previous handicap efforts when beaten neck by At The Wings (runs in Division 1) over 2m4f at Gowran last time; definite player if staying this longer trip.

Spotlight: Maiden whose best effort came when close second in 2m4f Wexford handicap in late August (good); dropped right away in straight over 2m6f at Galway last month so questions to answer.

Spotlight: Veteran on a long losing streak but still capable at his best, most recently placed in 2m1f Killarney handicap chase early this month; back hurdling off 7lb lower mark.

Spotlight: Not beaten that far when hooded first time in a novice handicap here at Christmas; back after nine months off here and probably best watched.

Spotlight: First effort of note in handicaps came at Gowran early this month when well-backed, keeping on third of 13 over 2m4f (good); could have more to offer returned to this longer trip.

Spotlight: Flat winner didn't show much in three maiden hurdles and no impact in opening two handicaps, too keen and not getting home over 2m7f at Clonmel last time; back in trip but lots more needed.

Spotlight: First reserve; five wins on the track, most recently 2m7f Killarney handicap hurdle a year ago off 89; none too fluent when modest fourth in same race early this month so lot more needed.

Spotlight: Won a five-runner point-to-point for Pat Kelly last season; encouraging track return at Roscommon last month when staying on late into a modest fourth in 2m4f handicap; cheekpieces now tried and longer trip could suit so don't rule out.

Spotlight: Landed 3m Wexford handicap hurdle in July (good) and chased home an unchallenged all-the-way winner over fences at Tramore (2m6f) following month; below-par efforts twice since however and reverts to hurdles.

Spotlight: His best hurdles form for Charles Byrnes seems long gone and he's now regressive, pulled up over fences at Killarney last time; easily opposed off higher hurdles mark.

Spotlight: Unpredictable mare was an 80-1 winner of 3m1f Kilbeggan handicap just over a year ago off 77; just fair form this summer, mildly encouraging Down Royal effort on latest; surprising if she played a major role.

Spotlight: Second reserve; dual-purpose maiden whose recent hurdle efforts leave him with lots to find; upped in trip.

Spotlight: Three chase wins but now 0-31 hurdling, decent C&D third last Christmas off 2lb higher; recent chase form none too encouraging.

Spotlight: 15yo who last won in February 2023; hasn't run since February and likely best watched, despite much reduced mark.

Spotlight: Poor form in bumpers and maiden hurdles; needs to show massive improvement now upped in trip for handicap debut.
