Spotlight: 1-6 over hurdles, the win gained in run-of-the-mill Newton Abbot maiden (2m5f, good) in June; succumbed only in closing stages to Regarde after running big race over C&D in July and is better off at the weights with him today but, nevertheless, he probably needs to improve again.

Spotlight: Technically 11lb out of the handicap today but is due a 10lb rise, having showed significant improvement when close second in Newton Abbot maiden (2m5f, good; refitted cheekpieces) a week ago; further progress is possible if he takes well to first-time blinkers; not ruled out.

Spotlight: Just held on to win Market Rasen handicap (about 2m6f, good) in July and probably bettered that form when fourth behind Road To Wembley and Square d'Alboni in C&D (good) novice last month but this will be his 12th hurdle run and others may have more potential.
