Spotlight: Brother to the Derby winner Desert Crown made somewhat belated winning debut in Curragh maiden last month over this trip, beating a subsequent winner in some style; potentially smart type and likely well worthy of this step up in grade.

Spotlight: Won Curragh 2yo maiden but ran only once at 3 when fourth in good-class Group 3 here (7f); didn't need to be at that level when successful on second start this term, despite taking a hold and hanging right in 1m2f Roscommon conditions event in late August; could have more to offer at this trip.

Spotlight: Progressive handicapper this year, finishing strongly to win over C&D in April (yielding to soft) and ran well in very competitive handicaps both here and at Goodwood on good ground; reportedly hung right throughout and never travelled at York on latest; upped in grade but C&D form a positive and respected.

Spotlight: Pick of six career wins her four-runner Group 3 win here (1m1f, good) in 2025; very promising seasonal return when third in Group 3 here in May (7f, good) but unable to back that up at both Ascot and when scoped dirty when last of six when attempting repeat Group win here in July; escapes a penalty here and big chance if returning to her best.

Spotlight: Group 3-winning juvenile and back to form when winning a conditions race at Fairyhouse in June; similar RPR's in defeat in Group company here when second in Meld Stakes and most recently never dangerous 4l off winner in 1m Group 2 Solonaway Stakes last month; down in grade and first attempt at 1m2f.

Spotlight: Heavy-ground maiden winner at two; highly tried in the spring, notably beaten 5.5l in Group at the Curragh; absent since no luck in running in valuable Galway handicap at end of July and gelded since; bit to find.

Spotlight: Dual 2yo winner this time last year and arrives on the back of good front-running efforts in cheekpieces in Listowel handicap and when only caught late on in 1m3f Killarney Listed (soft) having had a soft lead; unlikely to get such leeway here and stiff task.

Spotlight: Seasoned dual-purpose sort; 3-36 on the Flat, all on soft/heavy including successive runnings of 1m2f Naas Listed; only third in same race this year and both runs since over longer trips have proved beyond him; absent since June and ground probably plenty lively for him.

Spotlight: Debut win came here last summer and has been employed in a pacemaking role in Group 1 races for the majority of this season; down in grade on latest but didn't appear to stay 1m4f at Naas when cheekpieces tried; others preferred.

Spotlight: Ran with credit in a couple of stakes races before bolting up in 1m5f Ballinrobe maiden in July; two runs since at Listed level were below her best; fair bit to find here.

Spotlight: Career-best came when landing Punchestown handicap last month (1m1f, good); has run well at Navan since but this company on a different level entirely.
